The M2E4BTB3 from Startech is a unique enclosure designed to create a high performance storage solution that utilises the full bandwidth available from a Thunderbolt 3 port, providing transfer speeds up to 40Gb/s. The enclosure allows you to access four M.2 NVMe or AHCI 2280 SSD drives with dedicated PCI-Ex lanes to ensure consistent performance for each drive. The enclosure also features a 4K capable DisplayPort output and downstream Thunderbolt 3 port for daisy-chaining additional devices.

Warnings

Note: Not compatible with SATA M.2 SSD drives. Enclosure is not compatible with Thunderbolt 1/2 host devices. Apple Mac computers with M1 processors only support one external display through the enclosure. Apple Macs with Intel or M1 Max/Pro can support dual displays.

Note: Only supports 80mm (2280) M.2 NVMe SSDs. Downstream connected TB3 devices share bandwidth with connected SSDs and may reduce data transfer performance.
