Environmental Data Loggers
A data logger is an electronic device used for 'logging' or storing data over time. They are often battery powered so they can be operated without a mains electrical supply. Data loggers accept one or more sensor inputs, sampling and saving the data at a predetermined frequency. The rate of this could be several hundred per second or several hundred per day. Even faster (and slower) data loggers are available. Uses for data loggers include recording wind speed, tracking the temperature in refrigerated storage containers, and monitoring flow rate at pumping stations.
