Product Overview

The ACPL-C87B-000E is a precision optically isolated voltage sensor in 8 pin SOIC package. This voltage sensor is an optical isolation amplifier designed specifically for voltage sensing. Its 2V input range and high 1Gohm input impedance makes it well suited for isolated voltage sensing requirements in electronic power converters applications. A resistive voltage divider is used to scale DC link voltage to suit input range of voltage sensor. A differential output voltage that is proportional to input voltage is created on other side of optical isolation barrier. The ACPL-C87B operates from single 5V supply and provides excellent linearity. An active high shutdown pin is available which reduces IDD1 current to only 15mA making them suitable for battery powered and other power sensitive applications. The high common mode transient immunity (15KV/µs) of ACPL-C87B provides precision and stability needed to accurately monitor DC link voltage in high noise environments.

  • Unity gain of 1V/V and ±0.5% high gain accuracy
  • Low gain drift of -35ppm/°C and offset voltage drift of 21mV/°C
  • 0.1% (maximum) non linearity
  • Active high shutdown pin
  • 100KHz wide bandwidth
  • Wide supply range from 3V to 5.5V for output side
  • IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5, UL 1577, CSA approved
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 105°C
