CPC, part of Farnell & Avnet, is currently recruiting for the role of Product Compliance Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join our team based in PRESTON!
Job Summary:
This is a key role based on site, supporting our New Product Introduction (NPI) team, with time spent in our newly opened technical lab!
We are looking for someone with knowledge of both electrical and electrical products and a sound understanding of electrical safety technology. Someone who knows about compliance testing of product to EU CE Directives to British Standards.
With the above knowledge, our new colleague will focus collating compliance documentation for electrical and electronic products into a technical file. The product compliance Assistant will also be likely to be actively involved in the full cycle of specification, evaluation and product validation for selected products.

What will you be doing? (% Job Total):
- Ensuring that all products have required approvals and or test reports prior to the products being placed into the market. (55%)
- Assisting the product management team and buying group regarding approval related matters (15%)
- To review all technical files for products in the product range including those from overseas (15%)
- Working with the Lab/ Workshop teams to ensure our products meet regulatory approvals (15%)
What skills do you need?
- Strong communication skills
- Well organised
- Able to use own initiative and manage time effectively
- Commercial awareness
- Beneficial to have knowledge of the general product approval process (UKCA CE, REACH/RoHs etc)
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge to others including to our overseas buying group
- Note: This role will require travel to our site in Preston Lancashire, UK
