Hasp & Staple
One of the simplest ways of securing a door, lid, or lockable cover is by using a hasp and staple. A hasp is a hinged fastener that fits over a metallic loop, called a staple. The hasp can then be locked in place by a padlock. If you want to do a secure job out of fitting a hasp and staple, we recommend that you do not use wood screws to secure the hasp and staple in place. Far better to use bolts going right through the wood with nuts securing the bolts on the inside. Wood screws alone would make it easy for anyone to crowbar the hasp out of the wood and get into your garden shed. The Silverline heavy duty hasp & staple with corrosion resistant steel plate has concealed fixings for extra security and is suitable for securing stores, site entrances and gates.
