Drain Rods

A selection of drain rods, kits and drain rod attachments to help you unblock drains and sewers. Drain rod sets contain several stiff but flexible rods that are either screwed or jointed allowing you to use the right length for the job. We recommend you first locate the blockage. Remember, blockages that are in straight sections of pipe and not around curves or corners are best tackled using drain rods. Next, connect your drain rods section by section to give you the right length to reach the blockage. Push the rod through the drain until you hit the blockage, then push the rod back and forth and in and out of the drain to loosen it. If you need to twist the rods, do so in a clockwise motion otherwise the rods could separate while you are using them. Once the blockage is cleared, pour water down the drain to wash away any remaining debris.
