Returns

Your Step-By-Step guide to Returns

To successfully return an item to CPC please adhere to the following steps. Failure to follow these procedures may result in your return being rejected upon receipt. If you are a business customer please see the procedures - here. CPC’s warranty, returns policy and, if you are a consumer, your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations are set out in our terms and conditions of sale which can also be found in the back of your catalogue

Obtain an RMA number

You must obtain an RMA (Returns Material Authorisation) number before making any returns. To obtain an RMA number please complete the form below or contact Customer Services on 03447 880088 and provide the following information:
  • Your CPC Account Number
  • The Order Reference
  • The Part Number(s) to be returned
  • The reason for returning the goods (including a full fault description if there is a problem with the product)
The method of return should be confirmed with Customer Services whilst obtaining an RMA number or your preferences highlighted on the form below - if we are unable to support your requested method we will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative

What if there is a problem with the product?

If the items are being returned as faulty or due to a CPC error, CPC will pay for the return. You will need to give a full and detailed description of the fault or error before an RMA number can be issued. A pre-paid returns card can be used to return small items. If returning by post you must obtain proof of postage from the Post Office. For larger items, a collection will be arranged for a date and from a location of your choice. Please keep the collection receipt from the courier for your records. Certain items are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, details of which will be given when you ring for your RMA number. The quickest option is for you to return such items direct to the manufacturer. If you prefer, CPC can facilitate the return. We will however ask you to obtain an RMA number from the manufacturer before sending the product back to CPC.

What if I’ve changed my mind?

If you bought goods as a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day you take delivery of the items. To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us (CPC, Faraday Drive, Preston, PR2 9PP, Telephone: 03447 880088; Email: webinfo@cpc.co.uk) of your decision to cancel your order by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or email). You may use the model form below but it is not obligatory. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. If you cancel your order, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you (other than handling or non-standard delivery costs). We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any items supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day we received back from you any items supplied or (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the items. We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the items back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the items, whichever is the earliest. You should send back the items or hand them over to us (The Returns Department, CPC, Faraday Drive, Preston, PR2 9PP) without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation of your order to us. The deadline is met if you send back the items before the period of 14 days has expired. In certain cases, we may prefer to arrange collection of items in which case we will notify you. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the items.

Business customers

CPC offers a 14 day return option to all customers in any event. Such items must be returned in resaleable condition and in accordance with the packaging requirements below. Products must be returned at your cost with proof of delivery being available upon request. CPC may request that certain items are returned using CPC’s pre-paid label or courier in which case the cost will be deducted from the value of the return. Goods returned under this option after the 14 day period will be subject to a 30% restocking fee.

How do I pack it?

All goods returned must be securely packaged and returned in equivalent packaging to that in which they were received. CPC cannot accept returns if goods have been damaged in transit as a result of inadequate packaging. Please clearly mark the RMA number on the outer transit packaging of your return. Do not write on or mark the product packaging. Please enclose a copy of your invoices.

How long will it take?

CPC aim to have all returns processed (subject to inspection and acceptance) within 2 days of receipt. Please allow up to 7 days for delivery for goods returned by post. Any goods rejected for return will be shipped back to you at your expense.
