Product Overview

ADM7171 is a CMOS, low dropout linear regulator (LDO). It operates from 2.3V to 6.5V and provides upto 1A of output current. This high output current LDO is ideal for regulation of high performance analog and mixed signal circuits operating from 6V down to 1.2V rails. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, the device provides high power supply rejection and low noise, and achieves excellent line and load transient response with just a small 4.7μF ceramic output capacitor. It is widely used in application such as regulation to noise sensitive applications: ADC and DAC circuits, precision amplifiers, PLLs/VCOs, and clocking ICs, communications and infrastructure, medical and healthcare, industrial and instrumentation etc.
  • Low noise is 5μV rms typ at (100Hz to 100kHz, all fixed output voltages)
  • Fast transient response is 1.5μs typ for 1mA to 500mA load step
  • Power supply rejection ratio is 60dB typ at (100kHz, VIN = 4V, VOUT = 3V, ILOAD = 1A, CSS = 0nF)
  • Low dropout voltage is 42mV typ at (ILOAD = 500mA, VOUT = 3V)
  • Initial accuracy is −0.5% (minimum), +1% (maximum)
  • Accuracy over line, load, and temperature is ±1.5%
  • Quiescent current is 0.7mA typ at no load, output voltage is 3.3V
  • Low shutdown current is 0.25μA typ at VIN = 5V
  • Precision enable, adjustable soft start
  • Operating temperature is -40°C to +125°C, packaging style is 8-lead LFCSP
