The ToughArmor MB998SP-B is a professional backplane cage that can house an unprecedented eight 2.5” SATA/SAS drives into a single external 5.25” bay, making it an ideal solution for high density storage applications. This unique design incorporates hot-swappable 2.5” EZ Slide Nano trays that let you effortlessly swap out drives. The MB998SP-B features dual 40mm cooling fans and a heavy duty, full-metal housing which is perfect for industrial and commercial environments.
  • Commercial grade, heavy duty metal chassis that is ideal for professional applications
  • Interchangeable EZ Slide Nano tray system for easy drive swapping, maintenance and compatibility
  • Trays can accomodate SATA/SAS 2.5" drives from 5mm to 7mm high
  • Eagle-hook locking system keeps drives secure in the enclosure
  • Individual drive ID labels ensure you always know which drive tray are part of your RAID array
  • Dual 40mm cooling fans that keep drives from overheating
  • Active Power Technology (APT) - Fans and LEDs only power up when a drive is installed
  • Supports SATA 6Gb/s & SAS 12Gb/s with hot-swap
  • Supports SATA 7-pin and 15-pin power cables with locking latches to prevent accidental disconnection
  • Requires only 2x 15-pin power connectors to provide power to all 8 bays
