Product Overview

The 180XL from Greenlee Communications is a visual fault locator kit. It is used to visually locate loss locations such as macrobends, bad connectors and other fibre discontinuities. Fibre continuity can also be visually confirmed. This visual locator also allows the technician to quickly and safely visually locate broken and pinched fibres, faulty connectors and bad splices. The long reach of the 180XL allows the technician to safely confirm fibre continuity up to distances of 7Km as well.
  • Quickly and easily locate high losses, faults in fibre optic cables without expensive equipment
  • Confirms fibre continuity, class 2 designation provides safe light levels for the technician
  • Universal 2.5mm bulkhead, red/green LED display
  • 0dBm output power, compatible with single-mode and multi-mode fibres
  • 2Hz modulation mode, pulsed and CW modes of operation
  • 650nm ±10nm wavelength, fabry perot emitter type
  • Battery life is 80hour with 3.9Wh batteries
  • Weight is 120g (not including batteries), dimension is 180mm x 23mm dia
  • 2.5mm universal, optional 1.25mm adaptor connector interface
  • Certified by CE, CDRH and operating temperature range from -10°C to +45°C
